Last weekend I went on a 3-day mini-cruise to Hull & Leeds with P&O Ferries. Going on a cruise is something I had on my bucket list for quite a while and I finally had the chance to do it. The mini-cruise was amazing! I had such a wonderful time on the cruise and I loved to visit and explore Leeds. So let me take you with me…
Friday 18.30: Check-in time for the P&O Ferries in the harbor of Rotterdam. The check-in went really smooth and within 10 minutes we were on board! We went straight to our cabin to drop our suitcases. The cabin was really nice we had to separate beds and enough space for our luggage. After that, we took a look around, had a delicious dinner in the restaurant on the cruise and watched the beautiful sunset from one of the decks. Look at that pink sky, it was such a magical view!
8.00: After a good night of sleep at P&O Ferries, we arrived at the harbor in Hull where we took the train to Leeds. Leeds is only one hour away from Hull and the reason why we went to Leeds is that we wanted to go to the Leeds Festival and explore the city.
11.00: Check-in in the beautiful Radisson Blu hotel, so we are ready to explore the city and try out the nicest restaurant. We had the most gorgeous lunch at The Ivy, Victoria Quarter. Leeds is famous for its spectacular Victorian arcades like the Victoria Quarter. The buildings are so pretty and historic. So we really enjoyed our boozy lunch in the pretty Victorian-style environment.
15.00: Festival time! Leeds Festival is the number one UK music festival. The festival has a lot of stages with all different kind of music and artist. It was such a cool experience and I really enjoyed the music and the vibe. The vibe was really chill and we had the perfect weather. I can`t wait to go again!
12.00: The day after the festival it is time to explore the city again, but first we were dying for a good lunch. So we went for lunch at the Lost & Found Leeds Club. The Lost & Found Leeds Club is located in a monumental and one of the oldest buildings in Leeds. So beautiful and we really enjoyed our lunch & cocktails again.
14.00: Visit to the Leeds Corn Exchange. We wanted to see more of the impressive Victorian builings that Leeds has to offer. So we went to the Leeds Corn Exchange. A beautiful Victorian-style builing with a wide range of independent retailers and tasty eateries.
18:00: Bye-bye Hull & Leeds. Unfortunately, we had to leave again Sunday after an amazing weekend. I really enjoyed Leeds and the Leeds Festival. Leeds is so beautiful and there is a lot to do. It was actually a bit sad to leave the UK on Sunday evening, but the good thing was that our trip was not over yet! We were traveling our way back to Rotterdam with P&O Ferries. We were still cruising! So we enjoyed the beautiful sunset again, had dinner and got entertainment by the great music on board. The next morning we arrived at 9.00 at the harbor in Rotterdam.
I would definitely recommend a mini cruise with P&O Ferries to Hull/ Leeds or another destination. So if you are interested, check for more information: www.poferries.com or/and www.visitleeds.co.uk
